Sr. Buyer - (Crete, IL)

This position will autonomously support an assigned portion of the Holland business by the execution of strategic purchases; maintaining best supplier alignment, managing total supplier cost/spend, sustaining supplier relations and meeting project deadlines successfully.
Continuously evaluate and negotiate supplier agreements for best performance, quality and pricing.
Reduce supply base to ensure customer leverage, best part fit and quality, currently tasked at 25%.
Manage total spend with suppliers by demonstrated cost savings of $1,000,000+/ or 2% annually over $54,0000,0000 spend.
Manage quality of suppliers through the decreasing of NCR's, current metric is sustained at a 25% reduction.
Identify and qualify new suppliers for manufacturing of parts and/or prototypes across various commodities.
Secure product for project deadlines to meet performance targets and project expectations, currently at 97% on time delivery.
Maintain excellent communications with internal and external customers and suppliers.
Standing, walking, bending, and sitting for extended periods are required to perform basic office functions.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds is regularly required for photocopying, filing and other record keeping duties.
Vision must be sufficient for inputting data into a computer.
Keyboarding skills that reduce the risk of carpal tunnel and other office-related injuries.
Willingness to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots) as needed.
Indoor office environment.
Open cubicle arrangement.
College degree or equivalent business experience.
Three years direct Purchasing and/or Supply Chain experience.
Having direct procurement experience with commodities such as castings, steel, electrical and/or hydraulics.
Direct familiarity with various manufacturing processes and the secondary supports to them such as heat treat, plating and assemblies.
Ability to interact comfortably with all levels and divisions of Holland.
Excellent organizational skills with strict attention to detail.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to travel as necessary.
Pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screen.
Must possess a valid drivers license and meet the Holland Vehicle Fleet Policy.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
