Job Description Shift Times: 2nd: Mon- Fri 3p - 11:30p 3rd: Thurs - Sun, 10pm - 6:30am Compensation is Based on Experience Create machined parts by using a computer numerical control (CNC) or by setting up and operating a manually operated machine under supervision, while also adhering to quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment. Responsibilities Responsible for ensuring that all assigned CNC machines create high-quality components on time, and has a fundamental understanding of how to use precise tools and equipment such lathes, vertical milling machines, chop saws, and band saws, among others. You'll choose, align, secure, and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials from machines in a safe and efficient manner, as well as read and interpret technical drawings and any other information provided with the work order. You'll use the right inspection equipment to assure quality and dimensional tolerances, as well as follow specified autonomous maintenance and housekeeping requirements to keep equipment in good operating order. You'll be in charge of maintaining work shift continuity by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs, as well as adhering to all business safety standards, including Lock-Out-Tag-Out protocols. Qualifications a high school diploma or its equivalentDepending on formal technical training, 0 to 2 years of relevant job experience is required.Journeyman certification or technical CNC training is preferred.Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.Must be able to work from written and verbal instructions and have a solid working grasp of basic math.Basic inspection gages, such as ring and plug thread gages, GO and NO-GO gages, Mueller gages, Dial Bore gages, dial and digital calipers, all sorts of micrometers, scales, and height gages, must be able to be used.
